About Wines and Steins Established in 1979, Wines and Steins is an organization to educate and support home wine and beer makers. The club hosts guest speakers who share their knowledge of viticulture, enology and brew mastery with the members. The club also provides pruning, shoot thinning, and vineyard equipment operation seminars. Wines and Steins also currently maintains the wine grapes located at the Paso Robles Event Center as a training and education site for the public.
Introducing the Wines and Steins Scholarship As a part of its educational focus, Wines and Steins decided to help the youth of San Luis Obispo county who wanted to become a part of the next generation of the Wine industry. So, beginning with the 2024 - 2025 school year, Wines and Steins has initiated a scholarship for a graduating SLO County high school student pursuing a degree in Enology or Viticulture. The scholarship award for the 2024-2025 year will be $1500.
