Wines and Steins

Eligibility criteria for Wines and Steins Scholarship

1.  Offered to High School seniors in SLO County with graduation dates from 12/2024 – 06/2025 ¨

2.  Must be seeking a degree in Enology or Viticulture (2 or 4 year college is acceptable) ¨

3.  Applicant must have unweighted GPA 3.0 or above  ¨

4.  Provide unofficial transcripts with application and official transcripts if chosen as a finalist ¨

5.  Complete application by the deadline which is April 15, 2025 ¨

6.  Submit 2 letters of recommendation with the application:

•         1 from a school teacher or administrator ¨
•       1 from any individual not related to the applicant  ¨

7.  Winner must give a brief presentation at a Wines and Steins general meeting ¨

Instructions for completing the application

1.  The applicant may fill out either the PDF or Word version of the application.

2.  The application can be completed either of the following ways:

a. Download either the PDF or Word application, click on each section and type in the answers

                                                                                Or

b. Download either the PDF or Word application, print the application and write in the answers

3.  Follow the directions in each section of the application to be sure it is completed accurately

4.  If a section does not apply to you, please mark it as N/A to make it clear it is not applicable

5.  Sign the application when it is complete:

*Sign the PDF version using the drawing tool (works well if downloaded w/ Microsoft Edge)

*Sign the Word version by typing your name in the signature section using italics font

*Sign a printed copy of either version with a pen

6.  Save the document.

*If the document is printed you will need to scan it (Genius scan is a free app.)

                                                                                OR

*Take a picture of each page of the application

7.  Attach the application and all documents and email them to scholarship@winesandsteins.org
