1st Annual Home Brewer Competition Info:
The California Festival of Beers, located in San Luis Obispo, California is one of the Western Region's oldest premier commercial and craft beer events. Held annually since 1984, the festival is a benefit for Hospice of SLO County which receives 100% of the proceeds. More than 80 international, regional, and local breweries, importers and distributors showcase over 1000 of their beers to nearly 4000 attendees annually. The California Festival of Beers is among the largest and most popular Beer Festivals regionally, selling a record 3000 tickets in 45 minutes for the 2011 Festival. The 2012 California Festival of Beers is proud to present the 1st Annual Home Brewer's Competition to be held Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the Madonna Expo Center.
This is a Beer Judging Certification Program (BJCP) sanctioned event and is open to Homebrewers from anywhere within the United States, Canada or abroad and we are accepting entrees in all BJCP categories. This competition is keg only; with the winning entries open for tasting to attendees.
Home brew submissions are open to be received between May 18 and 26 at the following drop-off locations:

To register for the California Festival of Beers Home Brew Competition, please email hollytodd@hospiceslo.org to pre-register. Then, complete the entry form below and submit to the competition organizer no later than Thursday, May 10, 2012.
