Monthly Membership Meeting March 3rd, 2017

Program for March 3rd

Join us Friday, March 3rd for our annual "blind tasting".  The blind tasting will consist of the evaluation of the varietal of your choice.  Each member will sign up for one of the varietals listed below.  In addition to the wine you bring for the reception part of the meeting, each member is asked to bring an evaluation bottle of the varietal chosen, or of beer.  We would like each table to have about eight participants.  Each of the bottles being evaluated will be discussed at the table (constructive criticism encouraged), with each table selecting the wine they scored as the top wine.  One person from each table will be asked to present the groups evaluation to the membership.  Mike Ferree will then add details about the wines, such as producer, vintage, availability, etc.

We will also have the 50/50 raffle with the addition of a few bottles of the Boxer legacy wines to sweeten the pot.

We will NOT have a dinner  at the March 3rd meeting.  Please bring a heavy appetizer and/or crackers appropriate for the tasting event.

We will have a brief business meeting. Please contact President Tom Johnson (email if you have an item for discussion.

2017 Dues: Please remember that the 2017 membership dues have been increased to $45. 

The popular 50:50 raffle will be conducted by Leslie Cruzen.

Dinner: We will NOT have a dinner  at the March 3rd meeting.  Please bring a heavy appetizer and/or crackers appropriate for the tasting event.

Beverage: Please bring a bottle to share at the open bar table.  If you can spare and extra bottle for our equipment storage unit trade, it would be much appreciated.

Guests: Members are encouraged to bring guests and potential new members.  Please include them in one of the blind tasting tables.
